This summer in an effort to better understand how Pamakids has evolved and how we can improve our services a member survey was conducted. Approximately 30% of members participated and this represented members having a broad range of years as Pamakids, from new members to those who have seen it all from the early days.

The survey confirmed some things we may have taken for granted and fulfill our mission; we race, volunteer and support the running community. Many great ideas were offered and the Board is prioritizing and working to put some of your suggestions in place.

Some quick takeaways from the survey:

  • We are a well-rounded club when it comes to the type of races we participate in and it is fairly equally divided among these three: Road (15.3%), Ultra (14.6%) and Cross Country (13.9%).
  • Over eighty percent of you think it’s important or somewhat important that there be a complete team for your age group.
  • The greatest recruiting tool is word of mouth 70% heard of the club from a friend.

What does this mean? When we can race again, tell/recruit your friends so we can have full teams.

The survey also shows we like the club sponsored races so take advantage of the virtual race or challenge of your choice; the club will sponsor up to $50 per member through the end of the year. Look for the email from Elizabeth Gress sent September 15th for all the details.

Members also want to hear what’s going on with members, our races, how we are training and our accomplishments so we will be communicating updates periodically and please share your success stories, training tips and accomplishments with us.
